Application Process and Cycle
Screening of applications begins immediately and continues until the positions are filled. For best consideration, please submit your application with supporting documents to blackmidwiferyfellowship@ucsf. We will interview a select number of applicants over Zoom. Successful applicant(s) will have ONE week from receipt to accept the offer. The fellowship will start in Summer/fall of 2026 after completion of the UCSF hiring, credentialing, and privileging processes.
- Successful background check
- A health clearance through Occupational Health department
- Verification of any documents required for the position
- Verification of identity and eligibility to work in the USA
- The completion of the new hire process, including all required paperwork
- Credentialing process via the ZSFG & UCSF Medical Staff Services Office.
New Post-Graduate Midwifery Fellowship: clinical experience as a certified nurse midwife, though will strongly consider new graduate applicants
Experience in abortion care
Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
Ability to articulate and implement core tenets of equitable healthcare and education
Experience facilitating Group prenatal care [ including as a student]
Proficiency in Spanish language
